We pick you up at your riad/hotel in Marrakech at the morning to cross the hight Atlas through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, a spectacular road of red mountains and berber village. Several stops along the way, especially when we get to Tizi Tichka pass at 2260m altitude, we’ll be at the highest point in the Atlas mountains of course, we stop for photos and to breathe in some fresh mountain.
We visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou a fortified village located 30km north of Ouarzazate and listed on the world Heritage of UNESCO.
Then, we’ll have a traditionnal Lunch.
Continuation towords ouarzazate, visit the Taourirte Kasbah a magnificcent structure, built by the Glaoui. At one point in the 1930’s.
Kasbah Taourirt was considered the largest Kasbah in Morocco and today is classified as a historical mounument giving tribute to the Glaoui. After, Visit the film studio, that is one of the largest movie studios in the world. Several historical movies were shot here, including Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, The Man Who Would Be King, Kingdom of Heaven and Babel.
Back to Marrakech at late afternoon.
